It’s a Beautiful Day!

Could you feel the excitement in the air this morning?

When I woke up, the first thing I saw as I was “hurkle-durkling” (lying in bed, half-awake) was the color of the sky. (That’s a new phrase to me. My brother used it in a sentence and told me what it meant, so I was just itching to use it somehow! I hope I spelled it right.)

The horizon was a blend of soft wintry pastels, but that wasn’t enough motivation for me to get up on my one day of the week to sleep in, because I could see it from where I was, warm in bed. But then, I saw the splendor of the waning moon high in the morning sky, and that was enough!

Bella Luna!
Moon in blue!

The air was singing “Get up, get up; it’s a beautiful day!” And so I did, and it was!

A rosy glow on the horizon!

Everything white catches the light, and so a late spring sunrise paints all the white houses and the snowy branches with ever-changing color–but it’s for only a few minutes, so I didn’t want to miss it! Besides, the treehouse needs a new coat of paint.

The white paint on our old treehouse caught some of the color. Isn’t the snow pretty on the roof? Even the icicles are pink!

Speaking of icicles, the Bars of Winter may try to hold back Spring, but old Winter’s days are numbered!

These won’t last long once the sun gets high!

The end of the icicles often makes this shape. To me, it looks like a hand with the finger pointing down. Is it a message to start thinking about the garden? If so, I got the message!

Look DOOOOWN!

Scratch that. Look back up at the sky. Things are moving fast, and you don’t want to miss it! (I know I already said that, but look what I found when I edited the first picture!)

There was a flock of birds flying straight over the moon and toward the rising sun! Must be a sign to leave the night behind and move toward the Light. Enough said, I’m on it!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Have a joyful weekend, my wonderful friends! May our beautiful Savior bless and keep you close to him always!
