Our Wandering Jew plant bloomed! Apparently, the bloom only lasts a matter hours, which is why I never noticed it before. (Tony is the one who noticed, not me!) It was such a joy to see a new flower, tiny and short-lived though it was. (And it did only last about six hours.) But I was encouraged, because it reminded me that we are not that far from Spring!

And we can expect to see some snowdrops pushing their way up through the snow in just a few weeks. Guys–flowers are almost here, and I can’t wait!

We have had a lot going on under the radar over here, so this is a quick business and personal update.
Tony has been working on the hard copies of The Pirate’s Bride, and The Courage To Move for those that have been requesting them, and he has been making physical CD’s of the audiobooks on request, as well.

Beau has been creating some new Coloring Pages for download, and you will be able to find those on our new Resources page, which has a link from our main page. Also on the resource page are the links to our Printable Bookmarks, designed by Tony, featuring artwork and sayings from the two books. He intends to offer more designs in the future.
Switching to more personal news: We have finished The Pirate’s Bride, and now are throwing ourselves fully into finding a new place to live closer to Jim’s work. The commute is taking a lot of resources, and a lot of Jim’s time. We looked left and right and saw that we had an opening between projects, so we hope to merge onto the real estate highway!
In the process of fixing our house and packing our things (and donating a lot!), our blog has been suffering a bit. I am sorry the posts have slowed down. I do not intend to stop blogging, though posts may be less frequent, at times, while we are in transition over the next few–months?
However, we are continuing to produce new work, too. We have a new children’s story, Basil and the Tornado, which Beau and I are illustrating right now, with hopes for a Spring 2026 release date. And Dr. Dumb keeps popping up in random drawings; I’ll have to see if a new comic is in the works.
Adorable kitten update: The weather has been so frigid that we decided to take in the last surviving kitten. Her indifferent mother has been leaving her alone in the cold too long. She has been weaned, and is now living in an upstairs room, safe from the cold, while we search out alternatives. It’s another little burden that justifies itself easily! Before she came in, I was waking up at night, worried that she was getting too cold, so I am relieved. But obviously, we are all looking forward to warmer weather!

If you are interested in adopting her, or any of the loving cats or kittens I write about, please follow that urge of your heart and write to me at thefullersfour@protonmail.com. We have so many sweet ones here who have been well-socialized, but who have had to live outside. We are keenly aware that, as God wills, we may not be here long–or we may–but we would like to see them adopted before we go.
I bring up the kitten as a reminder to look around for ways to support the wild and semi-wild animals in your area. Squirrels, rabbits and birds all need liquid water to drink (when they are awake.) Consider putting fresh water outside daily where you see footprints in the snow. Warmers can be purchased at farm stores or pet stores, and you can even make one yourself. But fresh, liquid water can be a lifesaver for wild animals. Nuts and seeds can also support a variety of little lives.
When temperatures are well below the freezing mark for extended periods of time, we can act as an extension of God’s mercy to provide relief. Small things can make a huge difference to those left outside to fend for themselves: windbreaks, sheltered areas, appropriate food, and fresh water are all helpful, and cost you so little! Think of it as an excuse to be creative, and remember, it’s easier to take pictures when wild animals are eating!
I encourage you to use what you have to provide for those in need, especially the people! Check on your elderly or disabled neighbors. Maybe they could use a visit to lift their spirits, and you might find that yours lift in the process as well!

While we are here on earth, we are the ambassadors of Christ, doing what He would have done were He still here. We are ministers of His grace, tasked with loving those around us, encouraging fellow believers, and sharing the gospel to those who are hungry. The work God has planned for you is unique to you, but it might look like hosting an event in your home, delivering a meal to the sick, grieving with those who grieve, entertaining children, or simply praying when God moves you to pray. He will show you what to do.
Share the love in your hearts with those around you! And know that we love you, and are praying for each one who reads this! Have a beautiful day in the Lord, resting in His promises, and glorifying His name by the way you live!
