On Being Thankful
Being thankful for what you have is directly connected to your own happiness, but it does a lot more than improve your own outlook.
Inalienable Rights
They really are your own rights, given by God to all, without distinction. No matter what anyone says or does, your inalienable rights are legally and justly ONLY yours.
On Being Connected
A leaf that is still connected to the tree may be blown like crazy all day long, but for the most part, it remains whole, flooded by healing nutrients from the tree. Being blown, or bitten (within reason), or even crushed doesn’t destroy a leaf until after it has let go of the tree.
Walk In The Light
Each disobedience makes it harder to hear God’s voice until eventually we don’t even know how to obey anymore. I know what it’s like to walk apart from God, and I hate it.

The Blood of the Lamb
I think this is what is meant by “putting to death the old man.” It means forsaking the sinful desires and ambitions that I had, and moving toward Jesus when I stumble so he can comfort and change my heart.
Run toward the Dawn
The natural world alone can’t sustain this; it is only the Spirit of the Lord that brings this kind of joy.
End of January Blues
God made us for a purpose, and planned good things for us to do with the talents he gave us. He never meant for us to die or to suffer. He planned a “joyfully ever after” life, and that is still his will for us.
