We were pleased to notice on last Sunday, that the morale is improving among the new troops. They were responding faster to threats, refraining from eating while on duty (for the most part), and seemed to really want to do their best. They almost made a straight line during the drill we witnessed.

But yesterday, when Tony and Beau came home from a mysterious trip to Hillsdale, they reported a Park Security sighting–at the park! I guess they finally finished their long vacation and were considering going back to work.

I don’t think that the park is that different from the way it was last summer, but it is a far cry from the standards of the luxury resort quarters they have become used to over the winter–and most of the spring.

Only time will tell; but turned heads and ruffled feathers are not a good sign.
The question is how they will react to the bedlam they have seen. Will they rise to the occasion and rescue the new troops with some specialized training? Or will they give up in disgust and go back to the place where they have been so comfortable? This will be a true test of their character.
We will keep you updated, after our next visit. We hope to make a trip to the park tomorrow. Enjoy your upcoming Father’s Day!
