On Being Thankful
Being thankful for what you have is directly connected to your own happiness, but it does a lot more than improve your own outlook.
On Being Connected
A leaf that is still connected to the tree may be blown like crazy all day long, but for the most part, it remains whole, flooded by healing nutrients from the tree. Being blown, or bitten (within reason), or even crushed doesn’t destroy a leaf until after it has let go of the tree.
Walk In The Light
Each disobedience makes it harder to hear God’s voice until eventually we don’t even know how to obey anymore. I know what it’s like to walk apart from God, and I hate it.
Survival of the Fittest? How about Survival of the Loved?
Love is what makes life worth living. Being loved and accepted is important, but we are just as driven to complete the circle and show love to others. What drives us? It is written in our DNA, along with the signature of our Creator. God is love.

The Blood of the Lamb
I think this is what is meant by “putting to death the old man.” It means forsaking the sinful desires and ambitions that I had, and moving toward Jesus when I stumble so he can comfort and change my heart.
